Archiving Assistance

Legacy Project Archiving Assistant

As a photographer, I am simply an archivist. I document the various important or memorable stages in life, and I’ve also organized or taken care of images from the past. I have thousands of images to go through on a common basis, to pick out what is worth preserving for my personal archives.

Assisting could look like:

1. Defining a Project to Archive. Defining what you want the outcome to look like.

2. Commit to 2.5 hour average a week, assisted archiving.

      a. document one’s process in the trade, a favorite type of documentary portraiture of mine.

      b. photographing artwork/builds etc

      c. going through photos, documents, etc and picking out which ones to use

3. I’d spend time at my home scanning/ restoring/ documenting/ organizing/ writing/ making into a book or whatever outcome is desired. 8-16 hours a week.

Questions to consider:- What is your Legacy? What would be nice to look back on or pass on to friends and family? What are you proud of? How do you find yourself in your projects? What is important to you?

Examples could be:

Hobby creations- quilting, machines, carpentry, sewing
